How it works.
I join your team as the person who runs finance. Here’s what that looks like, from the first call to a normal month.
From yes to running smoothly.
First weeks
Set up
Access to your systems and channels. I set up what’s missing, tidy what needs it, and tell you what I’ve found.
First month-end
First month
The first monthly pack, a runway everyone agrees on, and the first investor update if you send one.
After that
Running on its own
It runs to a timetable that suits you, and your time goes on the decisions rather than the admin.
A normal month.

Decide
How we work together.
Set up so the finance is yours, and the work never depends on what’s in my head.
In your channels
I join your Slack or Teams and your finance inbox, so questions go where they normally would.
In your systems
Your software, bank feeds and payroll stay in your name. I’m a user, so nothing is locked in with me.
Clear scope
What’s included is written down. Anything extra is agreed and priced before it starts.
Documented
Each client’s processes are written up, so the work is never a black box.
Where your accountant fits.
Your accountant keeps the statutory work. Everything else runs through me, and they get clean records all year.
Your accountant keeps
Year-end statutory accounts
Corporation tax return
Filing your R&D claim
Companies House filing
I handle
Bookkeeping and reconciliations
Payroll and VAT
Supplier payment runs
Invoicing and credit control
Monthly management accounts
Cash, runway and forecasting
Investor and board reporting
The numbers behind your R&D claim
What I need from you.
Very little, and most of it only once.
An hour at the start
A walk through the business: how it makes money, what’s coming up, and what’s been bothering you.
Access to your systems
Accounting software, bank feeds, payroll and your finance inbox, added as a user.
An introduction to your accountant
So year-end runs smoothly and nothing falls between us.
Who it’s for.
And who it isn’t. Better to know before the first call.
A good fit
Funded UK start-ups, from the first raise onwards, with investors who expect regular numbers. Founders who want a view on what to do next, not just the accounts filed.
Not the right fit
Businesses that only need a year-end accountant, or that already need a full-time finance team in the office every day. If that’s you, I’ll say so on the first call.
Opening next year.
Register interest and I’ll be in touch when it opens.
