How we’d work together.

How is this different from our accountant?

Your accountant does the year-end accounts and corporation tax, looking back. I run the finance every month and help you decide what happens next.

Can you do the bookkeeping too?

Yes. I can do it myself, or work with whoever does it now.

Do you handle payment runs?

Yes. I prepare supplier payments and you approve them in your bank, so cash never leaves without your say-so.

What happens if you’re ill or away?

Your processes are written down and everything runs in your own systems. Time off is planned with you well ahead, with payroll and payment runs prepared before it.

How many clients do you take on?

A small number at a time, so each one gets a proper month-end and a quick reply in between.

Who has access to our bank and systems?

You do. Everything stays in the company’s name and I’m added as a user. I can prepare payments, but only you can approve them.

Which software do you use?

Whatever you already use. If something needs changing, I’ll explain why before anything moves.

Will you talk to our investors and board?

Yes. I prepare the updates and the pack, and I can be in the room to answer questions.

When to bring me in.

When should we bring you in?

Ideally before a raise, so the numbers are ready when investors ask. After a raise works too, and there’s usually more to do.

How quickly can you start?

Once the scope is agreed, usually within a couple of weeks.

What happens when we need a full-time finance team?

I help you hire it and hand over properly, so the new team starts with clean numbers and nothing lost.

What it costs.

What does it cost?

From £1,250 a month plus VAT, as a fixed monthly fee.

Is there a minimum term?

No. It’s rolling monthly, with one month’s notice either way.

What if we need more one month?

Extra work is agreed and priced in writing before it starts.

Ask it by email, or register interest and I’ll be in touch.
